The Portland Museum of Art in Maine has won an appeal in a lawsuit over a disputed bequest. It will now receive nearly $3.3 million because of a change in a donor’s will, as well as $1 million in damages. [Press Herald]

Artist Gary Hume has urged the National Portrait Gallery to cut ties entirely with the oil giant BP. “The board need to realize that they are now seriously out of step,” he said. [The Art Newspaper]

Almost one year after racism allegations from visitors emerged, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston has said it will launch a $500,000 diversity and inclusion program as part of an agreement with the Attorney General’s Office. [ARTnews]
